US SEC has begun an investigation into whistleblower claims even as market regulator Sebi has asked the IT services firm for additional information. Infosys says it was aware of a class action lawsuit and intends to defend itself vigorously
Law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and consultancy EY has been tasked to probe the whistleblower charges.
The announcement followed the launch of its global delivery centre in Bengaluru early this week. The company plans to make India move towards the usage of electric vehicles, away from fossil fuels. TechnoPro already has its centres in Hyderabad & Pune.
Among the companies surveyed in India, nearly half of them operate with more than 10 security tools within their infrastructure to secure their Cloud.
NFRA comes under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and US Securities and Exchange Commission are also looking into the Infosys matter following the whistleblower complaints.
The company, which globally launched its smart televisions from India in August, claimed to have taken 42% share of the premium smart TV segment on online partner Amazon during the first few days of festive sales.
