Under new CEO Chris O’Connor, who took charge in April this year, Persistent Systems has adopted a solution-oriented approach to working with clients which has resulted in an increase in deal sizes. The company now maps a client’s overall IT spends against its own portfolio to determine what the other areas are where it can contribute.
Analysts said the cost optimisation plan was a routine move aimed at reducing wage costs by hiring more freshers. The company’s margins have dropped significantly under CEO Salil Parekh, as it boosted investments to drive growth. The company is, however, now looking at greater cost savings, since a major chunk of its investments has been completed.
Following the incident, the government’s concerns have only increased, the official said on condition of anonymity. It means anyone can now hack into a device, take control of it and use it to spread malicious rumours that are detrimental to national security or those that lead to incidents of lynching, the official said.

BBK Electronics is still not making money in India with both Oppo and Vivo yet to breakeven.
PwC’s investigation would cover the contracts that Infosys entered into with some of its clients and the way it recognised revenue, they said.
