US: Saudis recruited Twitter workers to spy on critics

Saudi Arabia, frustrated by growing criticism of its leaders and policies on social media, recruited two Twitter employees to spy on thousands of accounts that included prominent opponents, prosecutors alleged Wednesday.

Cognizant to hire over 23,000 students in 2020

Last week, Cognizant had said it will remove about 10,000-12,000 mid-to-senior level associates worldwide from their current roles in coming quarters. This is expected to lead to a net reduction of approximately 5,000 to 7,000 roles (about 2 per cent of its total headcount) and re-skilling and redeployment of about 5,000 of the total associates impacted.

Infosys to hire more freshers, targets $150 million in cost savings

Analysts said the cost optimisation plan was a routine move aimed at reducing wage costs by hiring more freshers. The company’s margins have dropped significantly under CEO Salil Parekh, as it boosted investments to drive growth.
