TikTok to focus on self regulation to ensure people 'post responsibly'

There is a four-step moderation process to review posts so as to maintain the platform's credibility, its country head Nikhil Gandhi said. Speaking at an IAMAI event in Mumbai, Gandhi said the Chinese company, which has 200 million users, has "democratised" the art and culture scene in India.

Tech bodies to take Data Bill worries to house committee

Industry bodies including companies Infosys, TCS, Google, Facebook, Paytm and Amazon, to name a few, want ‘clean’ bill so there is no need for another law when technology changes. The issues pertain to inclusion of non-personal data in the Bill and voluntary verification of users by social media companies, amid others.

First 5G handset in India likely to be priced at Rs 50,000
