DuckDuckGo goes offline in India; privacy focused search engine in talks with ISPs to resolve issue

DuckDuckGo has emerged as the second most used search engine in the world after Google, due to its focus on privacy. The search engine says it doesn't collect any personal information on those who use it. It also doesn't throw up the IP address of the user.

TikTok may mount a legal challenge against ban

The government on Monday banned 59 Chinese apps, including the most popular TikTok, citing national security concerns. The move has, however, hit hundreds of content creators on the ByteDance-owned app, some of whom used to earn a few lakh rupees promoting branded content.

Chinese smartphone brands in India may lose share in Apr-Jun quarter: Trackers

These trackers attributed this to the rising anti-China sentiments and supply constraints these brands faced from Indian plants and multiple consignments of imported finished products and components stuck at customs since last week. Chinese brands including Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme and OnePlus as of January to March quarter together controlled over 80% market share in India as per the trackers.
