It's up to Facebook to respond on its fact checking programme, says FB after IT Minister raises concerns

In February last year, ahead of India's general elections, Facebook had expanded its third-party fact-checking programme by adding five new partners — the India Today Group, Vishvas.news, Factly, NewsMobile and Fact Crescendo — to its existing partners like Boom.

After PM Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat, desi apps in top 10 on Play Store

Several indigenous apps have raced to the top 10 on Google Play Store in their respective categories after PM Narendra Modi mentioned innovative apps on Mann Ki Baat last Sunday. In ‘social’ category, the indigenous apps trending in the top 10 are - Josh, Snapchat, Sharechat, Moj, Roposo and Chingari.

India calls out Pakistan for motivated false propaganda on social media

The report published by Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO) informed that as many as 103 Facebook Pages, 78 Facebook Groups, 453 Facebook accounts, and 107 Instagram accounts were taken down on August 31, 2020 for engaging in 'coordinated inauthentic behaviour'.
