Google Meet to give unlimited calls in free plan till March 2021

Google in April announced that anyone with a Google account was allowed to create free meetings with up to 100 people with no time limit till September 30 in the pandemic times. Google is now extending that policy and free Meet users can host longer calls through March 2021.

Many Apple services hit by outage, glitches

Some users were affected for a majority of the services, Apple said, adding that for two of the services — AppleCare in iOS and Apple School Manager — "all users were affected". In its latest update on the situation, the company gave the list of services that have now been restored.

Google can't force app developers selling e-services to use Play billing system: Startups

Google said apps that choose to sell digital content through its Play Store have to use Google Play billing system and pay a percentage of the in-app purchase as a fee. This would mean that any app that offers in-app purchase of digital goods like unlocking additional features or buying tokens to power up a game character or paying for songs, will be required to use Google Play's billing system.

Microsoft Corp says disruption to Teams, Outlook resolved

The company said it has rolled back an update to its services, which had likely caused the disruption. Microsoft did not disclose details on how many users were impacted, but outage tracking website Downdetector.com showed that at its peak nearly 8,000 individuals reported issues with Teams and Outlook on late Monday.
